Welcome. To those of you who are new to acupuncture and to those of you who are returning, welcome, and best wishes to you and your journey to better health. I look forward to working with you.

I have been in practice since 2003 and continue to be impressed with the broad range of health issues that acupuncture treats successfully. Some of the issues that seem to show up at my office time and time again are migraine headache, anxiety, seasonal allergies and issues relating to female reproduction which include menstrual, menopausal and fertility health.

What sets acupuncture apart from other forms of medicine is that it seeks to address the underlying cause of illness while simultaneously treating your symptoms. This is important because we are working to assist your body to function more optimally. The human body naturally moves towards homeostasis or balance. Acupuncture treatments help to nudge and remind your body to move in that direction. Once you are more “balanced”, you begin to feel better.

Other critically important factors, such as nutrition, sleep habits, exercise and stress are taken into consideration when I meet with you and go over your health history. This is a holistic approach to health and wellness and you will learn new ways to better care for yourself.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles into the skin at specific points — called acu-points — which run along the surface of the body. The needles help to restore the body’s energy to its natural state. When the energy is restored, symptoms of disease improve.
