To create health you need a new kind of knowledge, based on a deeper concept of life.

Reiki

We all need to be touched. Reiki is a safe and deeply healing way to satisfy this basic human need by its ability to calm the nervous system. Reiki is used to promote healing, pain reduction, and deep relaxation.

Translated, Reiki means “universal life-force energy.” A Reiki practitioner gets attuned to this life-force energy and then is able to transmit it to others through their hands by touching another or by holding his/her hands slightly above specific areas of the client’s body.

Reiki can be used on its own or it can be combined with other modalities such as acupuncture for a synergistic effect, providing better relief when used together.

“I was taught by Libby Barnett,  a 40 year teacher/practitioner,  honoring the Reiki lineage of the original founders — Usui, Hayashi, and Takata.” Dr. Usui was a Japanese Christian educator who rediscovered this healing method in his study of ancient Tibetan texts.

Cupping & Adjunct Therapies

Cups and Sliding Cups are glass or plastic cups which are placed with suction on specific muscle areas. The cups are either left stationary or slid back and forth to cover larger areas of need. This helps to relieve pain, tension and impaired circulation.

Mosabustion is a warming method which is applied to an acu-point or area of the body. This causes a warming effect which assists in increasing circulation.

Gua Sha is similar to cupping, except a large ceramic spoon is used to help relieve tightness and pain in the back, neck, and shoulders.

Nutrition

Serra is passionate about preparing meals with whole foods, which is something she believes is fundamental to good health. Having grown up in a home with traditional Turkish cooking prepared by her mother and grandmother, Serra learned the importance of cooking with fresh and seasonal ingredients, as well as sitting down for regular meals. Building on this with 20 years of whole foods cooking experience, Serra has developed significant knowledge in this field and is available for dietary consultation.
