Community Yoga with Acupuncture
Restore, relax and breath more deeply in a class that combines Acupuncture and Yoga.
I am really excited to be able to offer this unique class which offers gentle restorative yoga, acupuncture and guided meditation all in one, 90 minute class.
Come and experience deep, wakeful relaxation, a state that most of us are not accustomed to during the waking hours because we are constantly on the go! Studies show that wakeful relaxation can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, slows the aging process, can reduce pain and increase feelings of wellness and vitality.
We start off with gentle breathing, stretching and restorative yoga poses. Next you will be guided to a comfortable reclined position on your mat with use of blocks, bolsters and blankets. Once settled, tiny ear needles will be placed in strategic spots in the ears that stimulate the relaxation response, balance the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, assist in pain reduction and create a sense of general wellness. As you lay in repose for the next 20 minutes allowing the needles do their work, you will be taken on a guided meditation.
